Jimmy Finley

Chief Executive Officer

James Finley has been with Total Homecare Solutions since 2008, beginning his career with the organization as a Program Manager. Over the years, he has served in multiple leadership roles across the company, helping guide the growth and development of several departments for both Total Homecare Solutions and THS Remote Supports. As Chief Executive Officer, James provides strategic leadership and works closely with teams across the organization to advance innovative solutions that support individuals and service providers.

Ben Shoemaker

Chief Executive Officer

Ben Shoemaker has been part of Total Homecare Solutions since 2008 and brings extensive institutional knowledge and operational expertise to his role as Chief Executive Officer. Throughout his time with the company, Ben has held several positions for both Total Homecare Solutions and THS Remote Supports, including serving for many years as Director of the Billing Department. His experience across multiple areas of the organization gives him a deep understanding of the field and the needs of the partners and communities we serve.

Josh Barrentine

Vice President

Josh Barrentine joined Total Homecare Solutions in 2009 as a Program Manager and has since played a key role in shaping the organization’s operations. After serving as Director of Operations for the Remote Supports department, he advanced to Vice President. In his current role, Josh oversees the Atlas Department as well as the Remote Supports Service and Install departments, helping ensure teams deliver effective solutions and high-quality support.

Isaiah Hetrick

Software Experience Manager

Isaiah Hetrick joined THS Remote Supports in 2018 as a Remote Support Professional and has steadily advanced through a variety of leadership roles. After serving as a Supervisor and Program Manager, he transitioned into his current role as Software Experience Manager for Atlas. Isaiah brings valuable frontline experience and operational insight to the Atlas platform, focusing on improving the user experience for teams and partners who rely on the software every day.

Dave Ilg

Director of Business Development

Dave Ilg joined THS Remote Supports in 2020 as an Account Executive in the Intake Department, where he helped introduce organizations and individuals to Remote Supports services and guided them through the onboarding process. Now serving as Director of Business Development, Dave works to expand partnerships and connect providers with innovative solutions that enhance the delivery of Remote Supports.

Alyssa Kaiser

Software Experience Specialist

Alyssa Kaiser joined THS Remote Supports in 2022 as a Remote Support Professional and quickly demonstrated a passion for serving individuals and the teams that support them. She later became the Trainer for the Remote Supports Service Department, where she led training for Remote Support Professionals and Supervisors. As a Software Experience Specialist with Atlas, Alyssa combines her operational knowledge and dedication to the IDD community to help improve how teams use and benefit from the platform.

Our Story

Total Homecare Solutions

Total Homecare Solutions (THS) was founded in 2007 in Hamilton County, Ohio, by a former Vice President of East Coast Operations at a national home care company. Recognizing an unmet need for services tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities, he left his corporate role to establish THS. Starting with two high school friends and one employee in a small office, THS quickly gained a reputation for supporting individuals with severe behavioral challenges that other agencies had declined. The company rapidly expanded their homemaker/personal care supports into neighboring counties, adding nursing staff and payeeship services.

THS Remote Supports

As Ohio adopted Technology First principles, THS integrated Remote Support Services (RSS) and Assistive Technology. In 2014, THS RSS launched, initially providing overnight support for individuals receiving THS HPC services. Staffing challenges intensified in 2015 due to changes in healthcare, minimum wage, and overtime regulations, further increasing demand for Remote Supports. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Remote Supports became an absolute necessity, leading to rapid exponential growth for THS Remote Supports. By 2022, services expanded beyond Ohio to Indiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

As Remote Supports became more widely used, THS RSS looked for new ways to meet a wide variety of needs for as many individuals as possible. Over the years, THS RSS expanded services offered through intensive research, rigorous testing, and a commitment to constant improvement. Technology becomes more advanced every day, and THS RSS is devoted to ensuring the RSS Software (Atlas) improves at the same rate. This software has been carefully curated and developed over the course of over 8 years for the sole purpose of improving the quality of Remote supports for both the individuals served, and Providers.

Atlas

In 2024, Atlas became more than just a software. The Atlas Department was established with the sole mission of empowering Providers to begin providing their own Remote Supports with a market-leading software built precisely for that purpose. In February of 2025, Atlas officially began onboarding Providers to begin their own Remote Supports programs. It has been used by both existing RSS Providers, as well as those new to the space. As a team with expertise with the Atlas software and as a Remote Supports Provider, Atlas is fully equipped and dedicated to ensuring Providers are set up for success.
